One of the complaints of young women in the field of architecture is a lack of role models. To attack that from all ends, it’s important to shine a light on the work of women architects, especially to a wider audience outside of the professional community. So many women are doing wonderful work that isn’t being seen. It’s always a moment of celebration to see our work being recognized publicly. Thank you to House Beautiful!

Thank you to Vivian Lee, AIA WIA Committee Co-Chair, Beyer, Blinder & Belle, the host, and all of the women in the committee for allowing us a few moments to introduce our seminar series at their monthly committee meeting. The agenda for the meeting was densely packed with upcoming events highlighting the achievements of women practitioners and opportunities to mentor. It was inspiring to be in attendance.

On November 6th we’re volunteering as mentors at the AIA WIA Practitioner Student Mentoring Warm-Up Fall Session for students of The Cooper Union, City Tech and Princeton. We’re excited to mentor students from our alma mater and all students entering the profession.
